I’ve been working like crazy on getting the film seen by a mainstream audience. I’m happy to say that February 1st is the launch date. Big announcement to come at the end of the week. And then I will spill all!

Oenophiles have SIDEWAYS and BOTTLE SHOCK; now their beer-loving counterparts can claim a film as their own.
- Rotten Tomatoes
A David and Goliath story pitting the country's smallest brewers against the largest.
- CNN
Beer Wars: Brewed in America, is an eye-opening, funny and righteosly infuriating documentary by first-time filmaker Anat Baron. Her film (think of it as Suds: A Love Story) is also a pretty damning idictment of not just the beer industry but contemporary unfettered unregulated capitalism's disturbing excesses.
- Box Office Magazine
In Beer Wars, entrepreneurialism and opportunity go awry when tainted by greed and a thirst for power.
- Los Angeles Times
Beer Wars certainly raises some interesting questions, the most potent of which is, is this what capitalism is meant to be?
- New Times
For those who are keeping the American dream alive, this spirited documentary raises a toast.
- St Louis Post-Dispatch
A trenchant analysis unapologetic in its rebuke of Big Beer, Beer Wars is heartily recommended for patrons already inclined to opt for the local brew at every tap. It will also appeal to patrons interested in craft foods as well as homebrewed beer and wine and others particular about quality.

For GOOD beer go to CANADA
First of all this documentary is awesome. I love Sam C and Dogfish as much as anybody, but how could you not add more from Tom Schlafly and the Saint Louis Brewery when so much of the film is focussed on AB…oh sorry InBev. Tom is right in the shadow of AB, and has really built an amazing product and brand in spite of all the control they have on the local market.
Anat,
I think more information needs to get out to promote how 1 man, Anthony von Mandl, has went from selling french wines in the trunk of his car to owning Mikes, Mission Winery, and his import company. I know you use to work for him, and now I do, so I can’t help to hope to promote more of his great story.
Thanks,

Thank the Lord real beer is back.. The revolution has been nothing short of awe inspiring. I can’t tell you how great it has been for at least the last four or five years I’ve been able try an average of at least one new brew per week with a dozen of so personal favorites. Everything else may stink, but when I sit down to throw back some suds who cares, we’ve never had it better as beer drinkers. I moved from Arizona to NW Montana and was curious if your video features any of this states models? There’s several good ones, one of my top favorites being produced by Big Hole Brewing Company in Belgrade (I think that’s in the eastern part of the state) the brew is called Mythical White and is a Belgian style ale. It’s had mixed reviews from what I’ve read but suits my tastes perfectly even though I’ve noticed a little batch inconsistency it’s been nothing at all to complain about . There’s many good small breweries to the east of here also thru Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and even down into N California. It’s a beer blessed region for sure.
