Over to you…

When I made the film, I ended up with over 180 hours of footage. The film is only 85 minutes long. So… lots of footage is just sitting there waiting (begging) to be seen. And there’s some FABULOUS stuff, especially the interviews and brewery visits with some of the who’s who in beer.

I’m planning to edit some more videos but I need your help. Who do you want more of? Please give me your top 5.

I want to see more of...

Why not add all of it as part of a special expanded bonus DVD set? I’m interested in seeing everything.

  2. Anat says:

That’s the idea. But first I have to sell the thousands of DVDs I still have in inventory.

loved the movie and cant wait to see some more..

  4. Craig says:

well I really hope that thousands of people buy them… cause I would love to see some of the interviews… especially Michael Jackson footage!!

  5. Nick says:

You’ve got to add more on Tom Schlafly and the Saint Louis Brewery. If not only for the fact that he launched a successful brewery in Saint Louis. How could he not be featured more in this film?

  6. Duncan says:

Why not release the footage via BitTorrent or post to Archive.org? To get 180 hours on DVDs will take a lot of disks, but if it was released online then everyone could see what interested them.

Perhaps consider licensing to allow people to recut the footage to create smaller movies based on your footage.

  7. Kurt says:

I second adding all of it to bonus footage on a special edition DVD!!! I will buy it :)

  8. Dennis says:

Have you thought of working with the people at Beer America TV (www.BeerAmerica.tv)? Perhaps you could edit some of the footage into their episode format and they could stream them there. If not everything, perhaps teasers with links to where they could purchase the full length version.

Are you looking to shoot any new footage? There’s some very interesting new stuff happening in the beer world, like:

    - Craft brewery expansions & mergers like Magic Hat, Long Trail, & Otter Creek in Vermont.
    - Collaberation beers like Terapin/Left Hand breweries.
    - Franchise craft beer bars like World of Beer
    - Craft beer only bars
    - Big box stores like Total Wines carrying increasing numbers of craft beers

    To name just a few.

Oenophiles have SIDEWAYS and BOTTLE SHOCK; now their beer-loving counterparts can claim a film as their own.
- Rotten Tomatoes
A David and Goliath story pitting the country's smallest brewers against the largest.

Beer Wars: Brewed in America, is an eye-opening, funny and righteously infuriating documentary by first-time filmmaker Anat Baron. Her film (think of it as Suds: A Love Story) is also a pretty damning indictment of not just the beer industry but contemporary unfettered unregulated capitalism's disturbing excesses.
- Box Office Magazine
In Beer Wars, entrepreneurialism and opportunity go awry when tainted by greed and a thirst for power.
- Los Angeles Times
Beer Wars certainly raises some interesting questions, the most potent of which is, is this what capitalism is meant to be?
- New Times
For those who are keeping the American dream alive, this spirited documentary raises a toast.
- St Louis Post-Dispatch
A trenchant analysis unapologetic in its rebuke of Big Beer, Beer Wars is heartily recommended for patrons already inclined to opt for the local brew at every tap. It will also appeal to patrons interested in craft foods as well as homebrewed beer and wine and others particular about quality.
