He might enjoy craft beer (maybe not a big fun..) but as your movie said craft beers from American micro breweries is only 5% share. So if even he had ordered the one of the most famous craft brews such as DFH 90min or Stone Arrogant Bastard, majority of fellow Americans wouldn't have known and wouldn't felt in common with him. PBR sounds too political choice for him, and always there's a possibility that the picked brewery might have used it as an advertisement like "President Beer!" Bud Light is anyway largest share so it was a safe choice as the president. Of course I hate it though.
